COVID-19 Update from ACE Solar

COVID-19 Update from ACE Solar

We are all in this together as the COVID-19 virus has become a global pandemic affecting people, businesses, and countries around the world. We want to share the operational adjustments we’re making to limit the spread of the virus as well as some of the resources available for everyone in this ever-evolving time of uncertainty.

A 'wash your hands' sign.

On March 23rd Governor Baker ordered the closure of physical workplaces and facilities for non-essential services in Massachusetts until Tuesday, April 7th which has since been extended to May 4th. During this time our office will be closed, however, per his Exhibit A, residential energy services are considered essential so we are doing everything we can to operate in a safe and responsible manner.

As a company, we are following recommendations from the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and local authorities to help prevent the spread of the virus. We have always had a strict policy of, “If you are sick or have symptoms of any illness, stay home,” and will continue to observe that policy in addition to CDC guidelines.

With that in mind, we will continue to work on moving forward with installations and service visits in accordance with official recommendations and our clients’ needs. There will likely be some delays while we work through the details with the various municipalities and our partners, and we have been contacting those with scheduled installations or service visits to make necessary adjustments to timing and expectations.

If you’re looking for energy independence from solar or batteries for your home or business, we will be conducting remote assessments and proposal reviews as we observe social distancing recommendations. We use satellite imagery and web-based programs to get remote access to the information we need such as how much space your roof has, any roof obstructions, potential shading throughout the year, and much more that allows us to accurately design a solar array for your home or business. If you’re interested in moving forward, we can also complete contract signings and accept deposits electronically to start the process of moving forward with your solar project.

As a byproduct of the coronavirus’ impact, interest rates for most loans – including solar loans – are the lowest they have been in years, making it a good time to consider making the switch to renewable energy. Also, with the fluctuations in the stock market and other financial sectors, it can be beneficial to invest in your own energy independence and protect yourself from the inevitable increase in electricity rates from the utility providers.

We want to wish you and yours the best of health as we navigate this virus as a society, and if you should be interested in going solar, we will do everything we can to start the process in the safest manner possible. We will continue to be available by phone and email for customer service needs, so please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.

Sincerely,

The ACE Solar Family
