RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICIAN/INSTALLER

The position consists of preparing, assembling, and installing solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to roofs in compliance with project plans. The position includes identifying and documenting key milestones of the installation. The Residential Electrician/Installer must also maintain a clean and safe job site and follow all safety protocols and policies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be able to travel and have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able and knowledgeable to install solar modules to code and specifications
  • Having a New England state’s Journeyman Electrical license is a plus
  • Must be detail and deadline-oriented
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to maintain and create documentation of system installation
  • Must be able to climb ladders, bend conduit, scaffolding
  • Must be able to work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to create and maintain positive relationships with clients and all team members

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Answer and follow up with O&M calls

Junior Engineer PV Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create conceptual design layouts and electrical diagrams for residential and commercial scale solar arrays utilizing AutoCAD
  • Create energy models for residential & commercial scale solar arrays with Helioscope and Aurora
  • Interact with a variety of engineering disciplines including civil, geotechnical, structural, and electrical
  • Perform site visits for project assessment and feasibility
  • Support utility interconnection and permitting application processes
  • Additional duties as assigned and/or directed

SOLAR PV TECHNICIAN

Solar PV Technician is responsible for troubleshooting issues on customer sites including; system performance, monitoring equipment, warranty issues. The right candidate can ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, maintain standards inline with company best practices and operational excellence, and be able to identify, initiate and maintain work estimating practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Have three years of electrical experience with AC and DC components of a solar PV system,
  • have experience troubleshooting PV inverters including SolarEdge, SMA, Power One/ABB, and Fronius,
  • have experience troubleshooting monitoring equipment associated with the above inverters,
  • have experience troubleshooting Locust meters,
  • comfortable working on a pitched roof and experienced with various fall-protection systems,
  • work well in a team environment with excellent verbal and communication skills,
  • able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs.,
  • passionate about the solar industry, and willing to learn new skills,
  • excellent customer service skills,
  • ability to pass a criminal background test and a clean driving record,
  • reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout New England on service calls, and
  • must at least have completed OSHA 10-Hour Training.

SOLAR POWER SALES CONSULTANT

SITE ASSESSOR/SURVEYOR

Conduct a physical site survey using a variety of company provided tools and equipment
Fill out site surveying sheets needed by the Engineering Department to produce permit-ready documents, uploading data to the project management system.
Measure roof planes, vents, dormers, and chimneys
Assess shading – take Suneye measurements of roofs
Draw, document, and photograph roofs
Upload site assessment documentation into cloud storage software and CRM
Effectively manage your schedule to complete time-sensitive tasks on a daily basis.
Complete site surveys for solar panel installations
Accessing, assessing, photographing, and measuring roofs
Maintain a consistent schedule of appointments
Upload data and report to the Design team
Pick up permits
Attend inspections

COMMERCIAL SOLAR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

ACE Solar is seeking a candidate for a Commercial Solar Construction Manager based out of our North Andover, MA office. The Construction Manager will report to the Project Manager, overseeing field construction activities. An excellent Construction Manager must be well-versed in solar construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to provide field support to the Project Manager to ensure field activities for projects are executed according to schedule and in accordance with ACE Solar’s safety protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities

Commercial Solar Construction Managers spend the majority of their time working in the field, sometimes in extreme weather conditions. Some of the time is spent in the North Andover office utilizing computer, phones and general office equipment and supplies for reporting functions and record keeping.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all safety aspects at the site, ensures subcontractor compliance to the Site Specific Safety Plan
  • Performing QC Assessments of work by subcontractors
  • Conducts site meetings as appropriate or directed by the Project Manager
  • Communicate daily activities to the Project Manager through daily, weekly, monthly reports
  • Ensure all site materials are delivered, offloaded, and stored safely using appropriate construction machinery
  • Provides general supervision of all subcontractors and authorized personnel at the site. Works with the Project Manager to provide guidance to subcontractors as needed.
  • Informs Project Manager immediately of any safety issues or violations and assists with completion of appropriate findings reports
  • Ensures barricades are in place to prevent unauthorized access to active work areas
  • Inspects site environmental controls and reports breeches to the Project Manager
  • Enforces daily schedules and work activity assignments in accordance with the schedule provided by the Project Manager. Reports any potential schedule or task delays immediately to the Project Manager
  • Provide information to the Project Manager relevant to completion of change orders
  • All other job duties as assigned by Project Manager

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in the renewable-energy industry
  • A minimum of 1-year current or previous experience working with current solar technology preferred, including battery storage systems.
  • Some computer experience required, creating spreadsheets and reports using Google and Microsoft Software Programs.
  • Some experience with Procore or other construction management programs preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification (training available)
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving report
